This project is based on interviews conducted in the city of Addis Ababa. Participants were asked to share their memories, imagination, and knowledge of months of their choice. Their recorded responses were then searched on search engines. The first image that appeared from each of their responses was used to construct the pictorial space. Painted on fabric used for mattresses, each painting are painted chronoligacally within the specific month it is portraying. Through the layering of individual interptations and the algorithmic collective conciousness, the project accumlates how generic, given, and random sets of ideas can be unique and particular through lived experiences.
