Shoes box(excerpt): installtion, stop motion animation projection onto boxes (5x5 ft), 7' 35"

In this animation each compartment is based on a collection of memories from places I have called home.

I made cut out paintings of images, shapes and colors that I recall and animated them on top of a TV monitor playing personal videos from each place. I then projected other videos of the place on top of the monitor and cutouts adding a third layer.
The idea of three layers is a way to complicate the simple calling of a place, images are constructed not only from my imagination but also from random image play.
The title was inspired by my recent visit to the house where I grew up which has now become a small shoe factory.
